Front Load Washing Machine Oder Control

I perform Mold Testing and Investigations as part of my companies service. Sometimes there is a problem and sometimes it's just a piece of mind knowing it's not a mold problem. My Last customer said "the odor is in the Laundry room", OK this is normal Washing machines leak and Drywall gets wet. She also said that her and her husband try and keep the Laundry room door closed because of the odor is getting stronger! The odor was getting so bad is was getting absorbed into their clothing and they went to a Laundromat to wash their clothing.

So here is some FREE advice: If you own a Front Load washer, Keep the washing machine door OPEN when not in use. There are small amounts of water left inside the washing machine after each use and closing the door will keep the moisture trapped inside, after 24 to 48 hours MOLD will start to grow. Keeping the door open the moisture will dissipate or escape and we won't have a odor problem anymore.

If your front load washing machine has a odor problem, run it in the sanitize mode with Clorox, if the odor is still present after the first run - run it once more.
